Jason "Shakey" Absher

Jason "Shakey" Absher, 43, of Bessemer City, passed away on January 1, 2023.

He was born August 19, 1979, in Gaston County, son of late Will Ervin Absher Jr. and Susan C. Absher.

Jason loved his family and friends and always checked in on them to see if they needed anything. He loved all types of animals and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A celebration of Jason's life will be held 4:30 pm Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia officiated by Pastor Will Upchurch.

The family will receive friends 3:30 – 4:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jason is survived by his uncles and aunts David "Bruce" Absher and wife Vickie, Nancy England, Hal Lovelace; cousins, Alex Lovelace, Beth and Dave Cole, James Cole, Sara Cole, Cody Absher, Amy and Andy Herring, Oakleigh Herring, Ansleigh Herring, Finleigh Herring; and fur babies, June and Dickel.

In addition to his parents, Jason was preceded in death grandparents, Will and Bonnie Absher; aunt, Carolyn Sue Lovelace.
