Janie S. Armstrong

Janie S. Armstrong, 63, passed away November 24, 2016 at her residence.

She was born August 11, 1953 in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of the late Harold Neal Armstrong and Betty Jean Green Armstrong.

Janie was a member of Refuge Church in Lake Wylie.

Left to cherish her memories are her sister Barbara Belcher and husband Stephen of Gastonia; daughter Dawn Marie Carroll and husband Lee of Shelby; nephew Mark Deshields of Lexington, SC; grandchildren Lindsay Sawyer and husband Alan of Belmont, Caitlyn Gunter of Shelby and Alex Kirby of Belmont; great-nieces Allie Maples, Dawson and Addyson Deshields and special friend Dawn Botta and husband Michael of Concord.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Troy Beaver, will be held 7 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel -1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
