Janice Dickerson Bayless

Janice Dickerson Bayless, 64, of Kings Mountain, passed away September 26, 2013, at her home. . She was born February 5, 1949 in Gaston County daughter of the late James R. Dickerson and Mildred Pressley Dickerson. Mrs. Bayless was a member of Edgewood Free Will Baptist Church, Bessemer City. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed going fishing and traveling to the mountains. A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Edgewood Free Will Baptist Church, 715 Athenia Place, Bessemer City, officiated by the Rev. Scott Campbell Sr. and the Rev. Bob Sneed. The family will receive friends 3:00 -5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain. Mrs. Bayless is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John Bayless of the home; daughters, Tina Rick of Maryland, Pam Blanton of Shelby, Susan Riddle and husband Cecil of Kings Mountain, Wendy Powell and husband Chris, Jennie Bayless, all of the home; two brothers; two sisters; grandchildren, Brittany, Victoria, Jonathan, J.T.; special friends, Mike Summitt and Donna Matherly.
