Janet Sue Kemp

Janet "Six Pack" Sue Kemp, 62, Stanley, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 11, 1960, a native of Gaston Co., to the late Ralph Lamar and Deedie Terry Woody.

Janet attended Soul's Harbor Tabernacle, Gastonia, NC. She also loved to crochet, make toboggans for needy children, and was always doing things for others. She was very selfless. Janet also did several fundraisers to help those in need.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Jones; brother, Junior Woody; nephew, Ronnie Bland; uncles, James Terry, Jimmy Woody, and Joe Woody.

Janet is survived by her son, Jake Jones (Donna); brother, Donnie Woody (Renee); sisters, Debbie West (Vernon), Pamela Bland, and Kay Cota (Wayne); grandchild, Gabby Jones; and sister, Beth Cook (Walt).

A funeral service officiated by Pastor James Chambers, will take place 2pm, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Soul's Harbor Tabernacle - 271 Camp Rotary Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow at Armstrong cemetery, Gastonia, NC.
