Jamie Smith

Jamie Lynn Smith, 40, of Belmont, NC passed away March 2, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

She was born December 20, 1980 in Gaston County, NC to Donald Smith and Sherry Jenkins Smith.  She was dearly loved by her stepmother, Cheryl Smith.

Jamie attended West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC.  She enjoyed photography and working with computers.  Jamie was a beautiful and caring person with a big smile for everyone she met.  She was also an organ donor.

Jamie was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ray Smith and maternal step-grandfather, James Belcher.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Malachai Smith; daughters, Makayla Kimball and Kaitlyn Kimball; brothers, John Williford and Tucker Baer; a sister, Brandy Smith; paternal grandmother, Barbara Smith; and maternal grandparents Nancy Belcher and Larry Jenkins.

A lying-in-state will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, NC.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.  Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.
