James I. White, age 87, passed away Sunday morning (2/7/21) at his home in Clover, SC.
Born and raised in Ohio by his parents, James & Emma Pearl (Mullins) White, Jim graduated from Fremont Ross HS in Fremont, OH in 1951 and went on to get a degree in Chemistry from the College of William & Mary in 1956.
After working with his degree in various companies, Jim moved to & lived in the Carolinas for the last 30+ years where he ran the Gastonia, NC Aamco, built homes and then sold homes through Moss Realty. He liked to garden, build items from scratch, draw up blueprints, bake bread & love on his dogs.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia (Peace), whom he married in 1971. His children: Phillip (Genny) White in Greenville, NC; Elaine (Jim) Selvey in Clyde, OH; Stepchildren: Gary (Michelle) Foli in Box Elder, SD; and Gina Foli in Clover, SC. His sister, Carolyn (Dave) Richards resides in Tiffin, OH.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his siblings: Richard (Dick) White, Williard (Shad) White, Linda (Cleveland) Elsea, Donnie White in childhood, and his first wife, Lucille (Johnson) White.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service & Crematorium of Gastonia, NC.
