James Brannon Valentine Jr., 81, of Gastonia, passed away September 4, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.
He was born October 29, 1935, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late James Brannon Valentine Sr. and Minnie Sue McCullough Valentine.
James attended Unity Baptist Church. He was one of the co-founders of Gastonia Bass Masters. He was an avid fisherman and sportsman.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Michael Valentine and wife, Terry and Jimmy Valentine and wife Linda; grandchildren Jay, Josh, Jon and Christian and great-grandchild Blake.
All services are private.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
