James Paul Severt, Sr.

James Paul Severt, Sr., 91, of Mt. Holly, NC, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Brian Center, Gastonia.

He was born August 25, 1930, in Cabarrus Co, NC, son of the late Ruby and Al Severt.

Paul was a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Peggy Greene Severt; and son, Michael Dean Severt.

He is survived by his sons, James Paul Severt, Jr. of Mt. Holly, Bobby Glenn Severt and wife, Cindy of Concord, Paul Jeffery Severt and wife, Wanda of Concord, and Richard Allan Severt and wife, Laura of Concord; daughter, Sheila Severt Kindley and husband, Mike of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Marie Anderson of Kannapolis; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 2-4pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
