James Sandford "Sandy" Reep

James Sanford "Sandy" Reep, 75, of Gastonia, passed away December 28, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

A Gaston County native, he was born October 13, 1940, son of the late Phillip and Parrie Reep.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Alene Reep Lowery and Sheba Louise Reep; and brother, Judge Phillip Reep.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Diana Reep; son, Mark Reep and wife Freda; brothers, Jim Lowery, Joe Lowery, Mike Lowery, and Gary Reep; grandchildren, Ashley Reep and Levi Reep; and his best friend Danny Lunsford.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Braxton East, will be held 11am Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 805 S. York Street, Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Interment will be in Armstrong Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 805 S. York Street, Gastonia, NC 28052 or Colonel William A. Stowe Camp No. 2142, Sons of Confederate Veterans, 1310 Dallas Cherryville Highway, Dallas NC 28034.
