James "Sammy" Samuel Anderson

Sammy Anderson, 78, of Gastonia, NC passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 10, 1944, in Blairsville, GA, to the late William and Pauline Anderson.

Sammy was a member of Maranatha Church of God in Gastonia. He owned a Janitorial Business for many years. He loved to fish, golf, going camping and going out to eat.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Anderson.

Sammy is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Anderson, his son, Ricky Anderson, daughter, Donna Cloninger and husband Chris, sister, Dorothy Jackson, grandson, CJ Cloninger and wife Heather, and great-grandson, Nolan Cloninger.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jeremy Burrell will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, at Maranatha Church of God, 2435 Redbud Drive, Gastonia, NC at 2:00 PM, visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Burial will be private.
