James Daniel Robeson Jr.

James Daniel Robeson, Jr., 83, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born June 29, 1940, in Buncombe Co, NC, son of the late James Daniel Robeson, Sr. and Vay Bridges Robeson.

James was a member Lakeview Baptist Church, McAdenville, for over 40 years. He loved to go fishing and hunting with his son. James was a family man, and loved them very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard and Richard Robeson; and sister, Barbara Rogers.

James is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years, Ruby Effler Robeson; son, Brian Robeson; daughter, Pam Stafford (Dineen); brother, Gayle Robeson; sister, Jeanette Lay; grandchildren, Angie Robeson, Thomas Robeson, Tera Francis (Ben), and Bethany Jeffers (Daniel); and 9 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Aaron Griffin, will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Lakeview Baptist Church - 143 Church St, McAdenville, NC 28101.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church.
