James "Jim" Phillip Hope, 61, of Gastonia passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 after a prolonged illness.
He was born on July 30, 1958 in Cleveland County.
Jim worked at Flatrock Woodshop. He loved woodworking, enjoyed the outdoors, music and time spent with family.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline (Jackie) Hope of 43 years; daughter, Jennifer Willoughby; son-in-law, Justin Willoughby and their children, Kaitlyn, Vivian, Hannah and Ethan; daughter, Julianna Rush; son-in-law, Randy Rush and their children, Ayrton, Adi, and Ali; father, Robert (Bob) Hope and mother, Betty Ruth Hope of Kings Mountain; sisters, Kathy Bowen, Ronda Collins, Donna Short all of Kings Mountain; and brother, Ronnie Hope of Clover, SC.
A celebration of life service will be held 10 am Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Gary Teague.
