James "Occh" Occhio

James "Occh" Occhiogrosso, aged 75 left this mortal coil on September 2, 2025. He was born on April 8, 1950, the 2nd born of 3 children to Vito and Joann Occhiogrosso.

He spent his life proud of his NY-Italian roots working as a contractor and a n'erdo well. A spinner of yarns, both entertaining and damaging. A lover of music, subversive humor, and his daughters.

A rebel with a big laugh-an often angry man who tempered it with food, booze, and the art of conversation.

A secret writer, a dreamer, and a craftsman. He is survived by his ex-wife, sister, nephew, children, and grandchildren.

We hope he finds and offers peace in the next realm.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 10am-12pm, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
