James Michael
Little
November 25, 1945 – April 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Michael Little, who left us peacefully on April 6, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on November 25, 1945, in Gastonia, NC, James lived a full and vibrant life, calling Clover, SC, his home for many years.
James was a proud veteran of the Army, having served his country with honor, and had received two purple hearts for his service.
He carried that spirit into every aspect of his life, especially when it came to his love for family and the outdoors. A quality control inspector at Freightliner in the truck manufacturing industry, James dedicated himself to his work while always making time for his true passions-hunting, fishing, and gardening.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pauline Little, father, J.B. Little, mother, Alyce Little.
James is survived by his sons James Little II and wife Dawn Little, Steven (John) Little along with his beloved grandchildren: Austin, Timothy, Alec, and Alexis Little, and brother, Steve Little.
He shared countless conversations and time with his long-time friend, Isaac Floyd, and always cherished the time spent with his loving girlfriend, Jenny Gregory. An avid gun enthusiast, James had a deep respect for the United States flag and instilled that same love for country and nature in his family.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Pisgah ARP Church Cemetery 3600 Linwood Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pressley and military honors provided by the US Army and the Gaston County Honor Guard, where friends and family are invited to join us as we celebrate James' remarkable life and the lasting impact he had on all who knew him.
All floral deliveries may be delivered to Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared with family and friends. James will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
