James Darryl Kirby, 58, of Gastonia, passed away July 2, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1960 in San Fernando, CA, the son of the late Robert Kirby Jr., and JoAnn Dodson Kirby.
James is survived by his siblings, Kenneth Kirby, Darleen Starcher, Kathleen Caruso, Michael Brewster and Lisa Kirby; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Kirby III, Kevin Kirby, Karen Kirby, Stephen Kirby, Beth Ann Kirby, Gayle Brewster, Keith Kirby and Donald Kirby.
A celebration of life service will be held 12 noon on Saturday, July 7 at Crowders Mountain Baptist Church, 125 Mayberry Lane, Kings Mountain, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
