James "Mitchell" Hilton

James "Mitchell" Hilton, 63, of Kings Mountain, passed away January 5, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born September 27, 1958, in York County, South Carolina.

Mitchell is survived by his wife, Stephanie Moore-Byrum Hilton; son, James Anthony Hilton; daughters, Katherine Robinson, Cynthia Decker, Bobbie Jean Weathers;  sisters, Teresa Anderson (Jerry), Shersesa "Chi Chi" Norris, Linda Whitesides (Jeff); grandchildren, Dallas Boley, Susan Boley, Cheyenne Boley, Lee Boley, Danielle Ramsey, Renee Ramsey, Rosalina Hilton, James Eric Hilton, Anthony Hilton, Gracie Robertson, Dorian Robertson, Isabella Estes, Serenity Garrett, Chance Riley Garrett Jr.; former spouse, Norma "Jean" Ramey.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Patton; sister, Barbara Treadway; father-in-law, Richard Allen Byrum.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Sam Barnette.

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
