James Stanley Hildebrand

Major James S. Hildebrand Sr., 80, passed away February 7, 2014 at the Preston House, Charlotte. He was born April 24, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Ray and Catherine Foster Hildebrand. He was a retired Major with the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at the Royal Thailand Air Force Base, Tahkli in 1966 and 1967 where he flew 127 missions over North Vietnam. An inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, VA. Mr. Hildebrand is survived by: his loving wife 52 years, Loraine Hildebrand; son, James Stanley Hildebrand Jr. of Charlotte; daughters, Karen Padgett of Gastonia, Pamela Finnerty and husband Maurice Jr. of New Jersey; brother, John Hildebrand; sister, Ann Hildebrand; grandchildren, Maurice III and Brooke Finnerty, Evan Padgett.
