James Albert Haskin, Jr.

James Albert "Jimmy" Haskin, Jr., of Gastonia, 59, passed away on March 27, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, NC.

A native of Gaston County, NC, he was born February 26, 1961, the son of the late James Albert Haskin, Sr. and Lois Welch Haskin.

James was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC.  He was a loving husband, dad, and paw-paw.  He loved his family and friends, bluegrass, country, and Christian music.  He loved God, hunting, fishing, BBQing, the mountains, watching his grandchildren play, gardening, and doing things with his family.  We all loved him so much and know he loved us.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Albert Haskin, III.

Survivors include his wife of over 29 years, Donna Perkins Haskin; sons, Justin Haskin and wife Miranda, Jonathan Haskin; sister, Teresa Broome and husband William; and grandchildren, Lily Carpenter, Jareth Haskin, and Jenna Haskin.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
