James William "Jimmy" Hardin

July 29, 1956 - July 5, 2025

James William "Jimmy" Hardin, 68, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, surrounded by love.

Born in Mecklenburg County on July 29, 1956, Jimmy was the beloved son of Trinidad Pollowod and the late Bob Hardin. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jimmy's greatest joy was his family. He shared over 23 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Cathy P. Hardin, and took immense pride in the life they built together.

Jimmy was known for his generous heart and unwavering willingness to help others. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved talking football with anyone who would listen. He also found freedom and joy on the open road, riding his motorcycle with a sense of adventure and peace.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cathy; his son, Carl Parker and wife Carol; his brother, James Bolden; his sister, Carolyn Humphrey; and his cherished grandson, Christian Parker.

In keeping with Jimmy's wishes, services will be private.

To honor his memory, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.

Arrangements are entrusted to the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.
