James Franklin Moore, 72, of Bessemer City, passed away March 14, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born May 18, 1942 in Greenville, SC, the son of the late John and Belvia Stone. James is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Moore; sons, David Stone and William Keese, Sr.; step-son, Anthony Stroupe; daughter, Ellen Moore and husband, Rodney Tomberlin; sisters, Joni Hayes and Ruby Christenbery; grandchildren, William Keese, Jr., Jeffery Keese, Michael Moore, Jamie Moore, John Stone, Jr., Ashley Messick and Tyler Tomberlin; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Charles L. Moore, John A. Stone, Sr. and James F. Moore, Jr. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church - 1026 Dallas Stanley Highway, Dallas, officiated by the Rev. Fred Morrison and Dr. L.J. Barnes. The family will receive friends 1 - 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
