James Everett Robinson

James Everett Robinson, 76, of Gastonia, passed away November 4, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 29, 1941, in Gaston County, son of the late John and Artie L. Robinson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary.
James was a man of God and loved his Lord.
He was a member of First Wesleyan Church Gastonia since 1979.
He was an avid striper fisherman and enjoyed spending time fishing with his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Robinson was retired from the US Air Force and was member of the Bessemer City American Legion Post 243.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Carol Robinson; daughters, Melanie Massagee and husband Wayne, Yvette Ellis and husband Dan, Lee Viviano and husband Bill; brothers, Tommy and Ricky; sisters, Joyce Banks and Dot Hensley; grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Tate, Ericka, Tonya, Stephen, and Jada; nine great-grandchildren; lifetime friend and godmother to his daughters, Myra Wilson; his special friends, Forest, June, and Doris; his fishing buddies Gary, Charlie, Todd, Morris, Jack and Rick.
A memorial service, officiated by the Pastor Rick Hudgens and the Rev. Tim Smith will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 11, 2017, at First Wesleyan Church Gastonia, 208 S. Church St., Gastonia, with military honors provided by the Gaston County Honor Guard and the US Air Force.
The family will receive friends 11:00 – 12:00 noon prior to the service

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
