James Alex Dugan Sr.

James Alex Dugan Sr., 78, of Bessemer City, passed away on August 31, 2015, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born March 1, 1937, in Gaston County, son of the late Athel Clifford Dugan and Ethel Bridges Dugan. Mr. Dugan lived life to the fullest especially while traveling and riding his motorcycle. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Road Bessemer City, officiated by the Rev. Walter Prescott. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia. Mr. Dugan is survived by son, James Alex Dugan Jr.; daughters, Phyllis Scarborough ,Dianne Morrison; sister, Carolyn Black; five grandchildren; one great - grandchild; most beloved companion, Renee Burks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce, Delane and Judy. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia
