James "Neel" Calhoun

James "Neel" Calhoun, 63, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at his residence.

He was born November 2, 1959, in Massachusetts to the late James & Donna Calhoun.

Neel earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master's Degree from Clemson University. He retired from Lubrizol in Gastonia, where he was a Polymer Chemist.

He is survived by his sister, Debra Calhoun.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Gloria Truesdale, a neighbor, good friend and faithful caregiver, for her loving care of Neel.

A gathering of friends and family will be held 4-6pm, Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
