James Oliver Burgess Jr., 76, of Dallas, NC, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at his residence.
A native of Gaston County, he was born January 30, 1947, to the late James Burgess and Hazel Currie.
James was also preceded in death by his brothers, David, Donnie, and Ronald Burgess.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Elizabeth Burgess (Greg Wiemann) of Iowa; granddaughter, Victoria Jane Kornegay of Rock Hill, SC; grandson, Jason Alexander McConnell of Brunswick Co, NC; great-grandson, Jaxon Alexander also of Brunswick Co, NC; sister, Sheree Hall (Willie).
Jim was retired and loved to fish and hunt. He loved his daughter and his grandchildren. You will be missed Daddy.
A private service will be held at his home.
