James Ernest Bullington

God showed his great love for the world by sending Jesus his Son.

On Thursday, March 15, 2018, James Ernest Bullington, 91, of Gastonia, a faithful servant of Jesus Christ departed his earthly home and began his eternal life in heaven. He was met there by his son, Eddie, his parents Temmer and Robert Bullington and many siblings and saints.

Survivors include his dear wife of 65 years, Chrystene Bullington; daughters, Paula Sain and husband, Dale, Jeppie Bullington; son-in-law, Rusty Hager; daughter-in-law, Myra Bullington; grandchildren, Benjamin and Jesse Sain, Brooke Wilson and husband, Aaron; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Evan and Nora Kate.

A native of Spartanburg, SC, James lived in Gastonia for 56 years, working for the US Postal Service in Charlotte. He was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church serving as a beloved Sunday School teacher for over 40 years.

A memorial service will be held 4:00pm Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Unity Baptist Church, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and following the service.
