James Albert Haskin Jr. "Jimmy", 59, of Gastonia, passed away March 27, 2020, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

A native of Gaston County, he was born February 26, 1961, in Gaston County, son of the late James Albert Haskin Sr. and Lois Welch Haskin.

James was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Gastonia. He was a member of the NRA. He was a loving husband, dad, and pawpaw. He loved his family, God, and friends, bluegrass, and country music. He loved hunting, fishing, barbequing, the mountains, watching his grandchildren play, gardening, and doing things with his family. We all loved him so much and know he loved us.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Albert Haskin III and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife of over 29 years, Donna Perkins Haskin; sons, Justin Haskin and wife, Miranda, Jonathan Haskin; sister, Teresa Broome and husband, William; and grandchildren, Lily Carpenter, Jareth Haskin, and Jenna Haskin.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, August 2, 2020, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
