Jacqueline "Jackie" Gunter Hunnicutt

Gastonia, NC -

Jacqueline "Jackie" Gunter Hunnicutt, 86, was called home to the Lord March 26, 2018 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain.

She was born, December 5, 1931, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Connie Lee and Jennie Bell Gunter.

Jackie retired from Ti-Caro after 34 years of service.  She was a loving, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  Her family was the world to her.  She will be greatly missed but always in our hearts.  I know everyone will always look at their home as they go by and see her sweeping her driveway no matter what the weather.  Mother was sweet, private, always a lady and loved the Lord.  She always wanted to help in any way she could.  Special thanks to the staff of Summit Place, Peak Resources and Testa Hospice House for the loving care that had been given to our mother.

Jackie is survived by her daughters Sharon Griffin and Cindy Fisher and spouse Mike; sisters Peggy Walls, June Hagans; grandchildren Tammy, Shane, Michelle and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Kristin, Ashlee, Annie, Bailey, Cody, L. Dale Jr., Abigale, Cody, Caiden, Matthew, Jacqueline, Cassey and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall; infant sister Patricia Ann; brother Sylvester Gunter; grandson Braiden and son-in-law Charles Griffin.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dean Harris will be held 1 pm Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Greene Funeral service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Receiving of friends and family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Lung Association of NC – 514 Daniels Street, Suite 109, Raleigh, NC 27605 or Hospice of Cleveland County(Testa Hospice House) – 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
