Jacky Dean Moore Sr.

Jacky Dean Moore Sr. (Gone Fishing), 64 passed away on January 23, 2026. He was many things - a father, a fisherman, a painter, a storyteller, and a man whose humor could light up even the darkest room.He spent his life working with his hands and his heart. As a painter by trade, he left his mark not just on walls, but on people. If you knew Jacky, you knew his laugh, his abilitys, and his ability to pull you in and make you feel like you were part of something. He loved fishing, quiet moments by the water, and sharing stories - especially the funny ones. Above all, he loved his family fiercely and without apology.

He is survived by his children, Jacky Moore Jr., Katherine Staton, Bridget Leviner and Amanda Richards; grandchildren, Lilyana Moore, Garrett Moore, Gavin Moore, Zachary Moore, Cameron Moore, Carter Moore, Adrianne Grier, Andre Staton, Tyler Richards, Alyssia Richards, Chaise Hughes, Austin Hughes, Zachary Hughes, Ashton Woodley, Audrie Bush; great grandchildren, Wade Calderon, Rogan Calderon, Millie Calderon, Sebastian Bailey; brothers and sisters, Darlene Moore Clemmer, Susan Moore Hamm, Teresa Moore Darrell, Danny Ray Moore and Charlie Moore.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM, on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Midview Baptist Church, 703 Margrace Rd. Kings Mountain, NC, a time to remember who Jacky truly was, share stories, laughter, and photos that capture the many sides of him. Guests are encouraged to bring a photo or memory of Jacky Dean Moore Sr. to share.
