Jackie Demers

Jackie Demers, born on April 7, 1945, in Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, in Cherryville, North Carolina.

She was a devoted homemaker and a cherished member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Gastonia, where she shared her love for music as part of the church's music ministry and worked with the homeless project and lay ministry. Jacquelyn dedicated her time and energy to serving others, supporting the Salvation Army ministries. She was an activity director at a nursing facility in Massachusetts. She loved painting, crafts, spending time with her grandchildren, and baking her famous fruit cake at Christmas time. She was an avid fan of Elvis Pressley. Her greatest happiness, however came from the time she spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. Her love will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Vince and Rosemary Weber; her husband, Ken Demers; and her dear brother, John Weber.

Jackie leaves behind her four daughters, Jennifer Sanford (Mickey), Laura Tereso (Ken), Cheryl Gonzalez, and Lynda Ruth; her sister, Diane Weber; along with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her spirit forward.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont, North Carolina, officiated by Robert Thompson at 11am, on Friday, October 31, 2025 to honor her memory. Jackie touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement.
