Jack Leonard Reese, 90, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, due to natural causes. Born on December 9, 1935, in Gastonia, NC, Jack lived a full and vibrant life in Stanley, NC, where he cherished his family and friends.
Jack was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Deloris, and together they shared countless joyful moments, including dancing the shag and creating lasting memories at the beach. He took immense pride in his family, which includes his son Freddie and daughter in-law Missy, daughter Tracy, and his brother, Buddy. Jack was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
A high school graduate, Jack worked as a section manager in the textile industry and proudly served his country in the Army. He was a long-time member of Glenn Oaks Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing and even boasted several trophies that reflected his passion for the game. Jack also had a knack for shooting pool, a hobby he shared with friends and family alike.
Jack's love for God and family was evident in everything he did. He was a protector, a mentor, and a source of warmth for all who crossed his path. His laughter and love will be deeply missed, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and care.
A celebration of Jack's life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, 5:00 PM, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Connections Church, 304 McAdenville Road, Belmont, NC.

Jack was preceded in death by: Dewey Reese (Father), Althena Reese (Mother), Kim Dudley (Daughter), Jackie Reese Jr. (Son), and Shane Reese (Son).
