Jack Cleophus Griffin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Cleophus Griffin, who departed this life on December 13, 2024, at the age of 54. Jack was born on July 6, 1970, in Gaston County, NC, and spent his life dedicated to his family and his work. A proud Kings Mountain resident, he was well-known in the community as the owner of a local lawn service, where his hard work and commitment were evident.

Jack will be deeply missed by his beloved daughter, Ashlee Griffin (Wesley); son, Johnathon Tyler Griffin (Megan); brothers, Charles Griffin, Dan Griffin, Steve Griffin and his devoted mother, Martha Helms; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He held a deep love for his family, and his spirit will forever remain in their hearts.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Griffin; step mother, Rebecca "Becky" Griffin; step father, Marcus Helms.

In addition to his family commitments, Jack was a passionate sports enthusiast who loved to watch and play golf as well as enjoy various sports. His energy and enthusiasm for life were contagious, and he brought joy to all who knew him. Jack was a US Army veteran, who served his country proudly.

A memorial service to honor Jack's life will be held at Mary's Grove Methodist Church on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
