Jack Wallace Alexander Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Wallace Alexander Jr., who left us on May 18, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on August 9, 1943, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Jack lived a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and passion.

A proud graduate of Belmont Abbey College, Jack spent many years in the banking industry. He had a keen eye for detail, which carried over into one of his favorite hobbies: collecting die-cast metal works, including an impressive array of cars and lapel pins. His collection was a true representation of his interests and personality.

Jack was a devoted husband to Elizabeth "Libby" Johnston Alexander, and their nearly 59 years together were filled with laughter, adventure, unwavering support, and love. He is also survived by a brother, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack also had a great love for his dogs, who have all passed on. He will be remembered not just for his professional accomplishments but for the love and joy he brought to those around him.

Jack's life will be celebrated with a graveside service 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Hollywood Cemetery.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jack Alexander Sr. and Sue Bridges Alexander.
