Ivene Pearson Painter

August 28, 1930 — August 30, 2020

Mint Hill

Ivene Pearson Painter, 90, of Mint Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at Brookdale-East, Charlotte.

She was born August 28, 1930, in Gaston County, daughter of the late William B. and Dovie Painter Pearson.

Ivene was a great Christian lady. She was a member of Hope Community Fellowship, Mint Hill. She loved her church and her church family dearly. Ivene was retired from Exxon Mobil and Rexham in Matthews and was in accounting. She graduated from Cramerton High School. She enjoyed spending her time making crafts and winning money at the nursing home while playing BINGO. Ivene really loved square dancing with her husband, Nelson and spending time with her dog and cat.

The family would like to extend a thank-you to special friend and caregiver, Cheryl White (husband, Guy) and to the staff at Brookdale-East, especially Amy, for providing great love, care, and devotion to Ivene. Also, the family would like to send a special thank you to her nephew, George Painter, for his love and devotion while spending quality time and taking her on shopping trips that she enjoyed so much. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm on Wednesday at Gaston Memorial Park. Pastors Bobby Whitaker and Jason Russell will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Community Fellowship, 10643 Blair Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227.
