Hoyt David Atkins Sr., 62, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
He was born June 21, 1958, in Gaston County, son of the late Eddie Atkins and Betty Sue Propst Atkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Long Atkins, and brother, Tony Atkins.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Keith Atkins, Kevin Atkins Sr., David Atkins; daughter, Crystal Atkins; brothers, Steve Atkins and Jan Atkins; and grandchildren, Xaviar Kirby, Kevin Atkins Jr., Candice Kirby, Libby Atkins, Aden Atkins, Breanna Atkins, Gene Eudy Jr., and Harper Eudy.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia. Pastor Chris Wilson will be officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment is private.
