Howard Russ

Howard Russ, 87, of Gastonia, NC, died July 11, 2022, at Carolinas Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Mr. Russ was born on August 4, 1934, in Cleveland Co., NC, to the late Walter and Mildred (Ayers) Russ.

Howard is a veteran of the US Navy.  He worked as a technician for Honeywell for 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joan Russ, and his brother, Jimmy Russ.

Howard is survived by his sons, Lamar Russ and girlfriend Emily Hager, and Scott Russ; two grandchildren Jonathan Russ and Kayla Chappell.

A graveside service officiated by Pastor Don Mott will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 3:00PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont, NC.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia, NC 20852.
