Howard "Alex" Linker Jr.

Howard "Alex" Linker, Jr., 67, of Charlotte, passed away August 29, 2016 at his residence.

He was born October 8, 1948, a native of Mecklenburg County, the son of the late Howard Alexander Linker, Sr., and Alma Culp Linker.

Alex was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He retired from the Mecklenburg County ABC Board.  The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region for their loving care and support.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 47 years Nella Linker; son Ryan Linker and wife Carlyn and grandchildren Kelsey and Kyle Linker.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Friday at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1600 Mallard Creek Church Road, Charlotte.

Following the service friends and family are invited to gather at Carlyn and Ryan's home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
