Howard Crisp

Howard Jay Crisp, 69, of Gastonia, passed away October 22, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born April 27, 1945 in Newberry County, SC, son of the late Enoch Boyd and Liela Margaret Crisp. Howard was a loving husband, father, paw- paw and brother who enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 4 pm on Monday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Dickie Spargo. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda Crisp of the home; son, Kevin Crisp and wife, Jessica of Belmont; brothers, Walter Crisp and wife, Sis of Stanley, Ray Crisp and wife, Daphene of Gastonia; sisters, Catherine Draughn of Gastonia, Virginia Braswell and husband, Ray of Gastonia; grandchildren, Brenna and Bailey Crisp and Amber Horne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Oliver, James and infant brother Crisp and sister, Evelyn Crisp. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
