Hilda Irene Jolly Michaels

Hilda Irene Jolly Michaels, 90, passed away January 4, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.  She was born January 20, 1926 in Haywood County, the daughter of the late Walter Springfield Jolly and Eliza Woods Jolly.  The joys of her life were going to the beach and her family.  Left to cherish her memories are her sons William Caudell III and Walter Caudell and two grandchildren that she raised as her own Walter Vernon and Melissa Davis; grandchildren Billy Joe Atkins, Laura Caudell, Brian Atkins, Kimberly Belli, Michelle Small, Timmy Caudell, Jimmy Caudell, Timmy Carter, Crystal Dove, Amber Hamrick, Chad Caudell and Brandon Caudell; 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman Michaels; sons Leon Carter and Jessie Caudell; daughter June Breedlove; granddaughter Carol Caudell and brothers Frank, Clarence and Gene Jolly. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pressley, will be held 3 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends 5 – 7 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice (The Robin Johnson House) PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
