Hilda "Faye" Davis McKee of Gastonia and New Hampshire, peacefully went to be with Our Lord on October 10, 2018. Faye enjoyed life, she always worried about others before herself. She loved going to car shows in Carlisle, PA and just taking long rides on roads to see where they went with her husband, James (Jim) R. McKee Jr., the love of her life who she was married to for 57 years. They had just celebrated their anniversary on October 6. Faye loved to bake with one of her specialties being her coconut cakes. Her herb cheese was another big hit. She loved to crochet and there are many warm babies out there because of it.
Besides her husband James (Jim), Faye leaves behind her 2 brothers and their wives, Thomas and Patricia and Raymond and Tina Davis; son-in-law, Jessie Palmer; 6 grandchildren and their spouses; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; best friend Joanne Eaton of Dover, NH and many good friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Freda Harbin Davis; daughter, Lora Ann McKee Palmer; 2 brothers and one sister.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Great Life Ministries, 3307 Filbert Highway, Clover, SC 29710.
