Rev. Herman Green

Rev. Herman Green, 75, of Kings Mountain, passed away on September 22, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare System, Shelby He was born January 20, 1940, in Cleveland County, son of the late Opal Barney Green and Bertha Ailene Morris Green. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Roger Green, Rev. Dennis Harmon, Rev. Oscar Hullender and Pastor Mike Chambers. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. Rev. Green is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Joyce Welch Green; daughter, Sharon Whisnant and husband Jeff; sister, Janice Proctor; grandchildren, Schae, Tyler and Chris Whisnant; great - grandchildren, Brantley, Bryce and Gracie Whisnant. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
