Henry Lee Roach Jr.

Gastonia, NC Henry Lee Roach, Jr., 84, passed away April 30, 2013, at his home. He was born March 21, 1929 in Lincoln County, son of the late Henry L. Roach Sr. and Addie Lynch Roach. Mr. Roach was the former owner of Gastonia Motor Parts, Inc. He was a long time member, Elder, Sunday school teacher and choir member of Crowders Creek ARP Church.He enjoyed family, gardening,Angus cattle and gospel singing. A funeral service will be held 4pm on Thursday at Crowders Creek ARP Church, officiated by Pastor Ben Wingard. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm on Thursday prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the church cemetery. He is survived by: wife, Annie Mae Boyd Roach of Gastonia; son, Douglas Roach and wife, Nancy of Gastonia; daughter, Peggy Grigg and husband, Bob of Gastonia; son, Steven Roach and wife, Jan of Gastonia; daughter, Carolyn Champion, and husband, Chris of Gastonia; daughter, Marilyn Brooks and husband David of Gastonia; daughter, Greta Berry and husband, Bill of Oak Park, VA; brother, Tom Roach and wife, Erma of Lincolnton; sisters, Linda Wilkinson and husband Johnny of Lincolnton, Emily Howard and husband, Max of Lake Wylie, Martha Sigmon of Lincolnton, Sandra Huffstetler and husband, Johnny of Lincolnton, Charlotte Lynch of Lincolnton; brother, Bill Roach and wife, Debbie of Lincolnton; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his sister, Joyce Avery.
