Helen "Pete" Wiggins, 80, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain.
She was born March 1, 1938 in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late James Lloyd Weaver and Susie Key Weaver.
Pete was a member of Zion Baptist Church for 57 years. She loved her family and her church family.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 62 years, Clyde Wiggins; son, Randy Wiggins and wife Cathy; daughters, Velva Wiggins and Banna Underland; brother, Shot Weaver; sister, Cyndi Weaver; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Pete was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
A funeral service will be held 7 pm Wednesday at Zion Baptist Church 2437 Propst St. Gastonia, with the Rev. Leo Kuykendall, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 -7 pm prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be held 1 pm Thursday at Laurel Branch Cemetery, Bryson City, NC.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
