Helen James White

Helen James White, 85, of Gastonia, passed away May 16, 2018 at her residence.

She was born May 17, 1932, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late England James and Eunice Cook James.

Helen was a faithful member of South Gastonia Church of God.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Goodwin, Nora Prince; brothers, Doug and David James; sister, Marie Nanney; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JD White; daughters, Sara Vandeman, Georgia Caffarella and Jill White; brother, Bill James; and sisters, Kay Craig and Sharon Allen.

A graveside service officiated by the Revs. Bobby Gilley, Sam Barnette and Doug James, will be held 3 pm Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Westview Gardens Mausoleum in Bessemer City.
