Helen Truitt Tart

Helen Truitt Tart, 69, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Peak Resources, Cherryville NC.

Helen was born June 3, 1954 in Cherokee County, NC and was the daughter of the late Giles and Margaret Truitt.  Helen was a wonderful and loving Mom, Grandmom, sister and aunt.  She loved cooking and her family said some of their favorites were her cakes and broccoli cornbread.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Tart; siblings, Harold, Johnny, Sue, Wanda. Dottie, Vickie, Martha and Shirley.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Tart; sisters, Doris Mulkey and Berthalee Pace; granddaughter, Heather Vernon; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service 1503 S York Rd. Gastonia, NC with the Rev. Sam Barnette, officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
