Helen Riddle Gantt, 66, of Kings Mountain, passed away on May 12, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem. She was born December 6, 1948 in Gaston County daughter of the late Samuel Eugene Riddle and Claudia Whitley Riddle. Mrs. Gantt was a member of Penley's Chapel in Kings Mountain. She was the wife of a retired Command Sergeant Major, who loved her family dearly and always put their needs before hers. A funeral service will be held 2: 00 p.m. Saturday at Penley's Chapel, 1508 N. Piedmont Ave. Kings Mountain, officiated by Pastor Doug Allen, Associate Pastor Melvin Proctor and the Rev. Johnny Gantt. The family will receive friends 6:00 -8: 00 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia. Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain. Mrs. Gantt is survived by her loving husband of over 47 years,Ret. CSM Stephen Lee Gantt Sr.; son, Steven Lee Gantt Jr. and wife Laura; adopted son, Shaun Armand Brown and wife Shana; daughter, Donna Jean Gantt; adopted daughter, Robin Lynn Griffin and husband Edward; brothers, Keith Riddle and wife Darlene, Allen Riddle; sisters, Cheryl Hudson, Deborah Marcengill, Beverly Russo and husband Dominick; brothers-in-law, Larry Gantt and wife Leslie, Dennis Gantt and wife Robin; grandchildren, Falicity Lee Wheless and husband Sean, Kaylee Ann Gantt; Christian Allen Samuelson; nieces and nephews, Rodney Wilson, Mickey Riddle, Larry Wilson, David Riddle, Randy Riddle, Kimberly Riddle Stotler, Frankie Riddle, Scott Curtis, Angel Curtis, Kimberly Gantt Duncan, Jeromy Gantt, Josh Gantt; numerous great- nieces and nephews; very special uncle Arthur Gantt; cousin Brenda Gantt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by father and mother -in-law, Marshall Lee and Faye Whitley Gantt. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
