Heather Lee Nanney

Heather Lee Nanney, 42, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Haywood Medical Center in Clyde.

Born on June 6, 1979, in Gaston County, Heather was the daughter of Samuel and Nancy Cochran Nanney.

Heather is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Junior and Gwen Nanney; maternal grandparents, Lee and Margaret Cochran; aunts and their spouses, Betty Jo and James B. Gilreath, and Sheila and Bill Nanney; and Uncle, Roy Cochran.

Left to cherish Heather's memories are her parents, Samuel and Nancy Nanney; brother, Joseph Nanney; nephews, Kyle Nanney and Jordan Brown; aunts, Darlene Lingle and husband, Todd, and Shirley Carpenter; and uncle, Charles Edward Cochran.

A funeral service, officiated by Johnny Ray Black, will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment to follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
