Hazel Ingram Carswell, 94, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
She was born December 24, 1926, in Blairsville, GA, daughter of the late Norman Ingram and Daisy Ownbey Ingram.
Hazel was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and retired from Threads, Inc. after more than 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Obediah Carswell Jr.; great granddaughter, Crystal Stiles; and brothers, Paul, Cecil, and Claude Ingram.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Aliene Patterson; sisters, Violet Smith (Charles), Helen Beazley (James), Opal Guffey, Mary Hammond; grandchildren, Iris Watson, Robbie Patterson; great granddaughter, Ashley Measmer; and great great grandson, Houston Carpenter.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. Pastor Steve Weaver will be officiating.
