Haven Haney

Haven Devon "Puckett" Haney, age 50, of Lincolnton, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 surrounded by his family. A Gaston County native, he was born July 7, 1962, son of Judy Autry Haney of Gastonia and the late Johnny William Haney. Mr. Haney was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, Haven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merm and Grace Haney, and Sam and Mildred Autry. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Kay Contreras of Lincolnton; son, Eric Devon Haney of Gastonia; stepson, Antonio Flores Contreras of Gastonia; nephew, Christopher Scott Loftin of Lincolnton; brother, Teddy William Haney of Gastonia; sister, Terri Lynn Bradley of Cherryville; and many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 17, from 2:30 until 4:00pm at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York. Rd., Gastonia. The funeral service will be held 4:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home, officiated by Bishop Ron Duncan. Interment will be in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
