Harry J. Thompson

Harry J. Thompson, 71, of Kings Mountain, passed away May 17, 2018 at Carolina's Healthcare System in Shelby.

He was born November 21, 1946 in Lincoln County, the son of the late Howard Thompson and Gladys Self Thompson.

Harry was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Thompson; daughters, Charlotte Annette Perez, Katrina "Teenie" Raines, Debbie Biddix and spouse, Jimmie "Bam-Bam" Lingerfelt; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and cousin, David Thompson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Thompson; and sister Blanche Barneycastle.

A funeral service will be held 7 pm Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 6 – 7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be 11 am Friday in the VA National Cemetery in Salisbury.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
