Harold Glen Palmer, 93, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022
He was born February 26, 1929, in Murphy, North Carolina to the late Glen and Allie Palmer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Walker Palmer and his five brothers: Arnold, Gene, Dillard, Roy, and Jim Palmer.
Left behind to cherish Harold's memories are his sons, Joe and his two children Duane and David; Don and his two children Jessica and Don Jr.; great grandchildren, Miranda, Phoebe, and Addison and a stepdaughter, Sharon Hoyle.
Mr. Palmer was a decorated Korean War veteran while proudly serving with the United States Army. For many years Harold has attended Evangel Assembly of God Church on Neal Hawkins Road. He worked most of his life as an auto mechanic. Harold was a generous person to those he thought in need.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 11, 2022, in the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Services, 1503 South York Road in Gastonia, with Pastor Rufus Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at Greene's.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to the Veterans Association of your choice.
